What is yatsuhashi?

Nougatine is made with yatsuhashi coated in candy.

Yatsuhashi is one of Japan's traditional Japanese confectioneries, and it was originally invented by a long-established Japanese sweets shop in Kyoto.

The name yatsuhashi came from the name of a bridge, named after its shape, which resembles a bridge. A typical yatsuhashi has an elongated shape and is characterized by a stretched, glutinous dough. Typically, the dough is filled with anko (sweet bean paste) and the surface is further covered with sugar or soybean flour.

Nougatine is nikiniki's signature product, offering a new way to enjoy yatsuhashi.
