SHICHIJO KANSHUNDO

Kyoto confectionary shop SHICHIJO KANSHUNDO has been making KYO-GASHI (Traditional Japanese Confectionery of Kyoto) since 1865 near Rengeoin Temple, known as Sanjusangendo.

This long-established confectionery sells KYO-GASHI made with care and attention to each and every ingredient, including water, the lifeblood of Kyoto sweets.

You can enjoy a KYO-GASHI hands-on workshop at this venerable confectionary shop.

In addition to the main shop, SHICHIJO KANSHUNDO also offers a KYO-GASHI hands-on workshop at its Kyoto Tower Building shop, just outside JR Kyoto Station.

You can experience a workshop at the historic main shop, or at the convenient shop near Kyoto Station.

You will eat one of the Namagashi you made yourself with matcha (green tea) after the Workshop.
Please take the remaining three home as souvenirs.
